The Bold & The Beautiful

bold |bōld|
adjective
1 (of a person, action, or idea) showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous
  • dated (of a person or manner) so confident as to suggest a lack of shame or modesty
2 (of a color or design) having a strong or vivid appearance
Take the risk that is in right now. Bold solid colors are the trend. Weather they stand alone or you decide to block them on top of each other (as seen in the Gucci Ready-to-Wear Spring 2011 ad above).

I’‘m pretty sure when you were a little girl you probably wore pretty pastel colors like pink, purple or yellow on Easter Sunday. Those days of pig tails and french braids are long gone. I like to think of pastels as little colors that haven’t fully grown to reach it’s true potential HD (Haute Diva) color. As I think about it, there should be no reason why a grown women should still be wearing pastel dresses for Easter.

Spring is a celebration of all things fresh, new and lively. So for Easter wear just that, wear something that screams confidence. Everything looks better in HD, so why shouldn’t you, go bold and leave the pastels to the little ones. Here are some examples of the bold colors done right.
