Wow, How Time Fly!

Yes, it's my Birthday. I am 28 years old today (WOW, how time fly). Speaking of time; now I can look fly in my new Badgley Mischka watch.  A fab birthday gift from my aunt Kim & Uncle David and their little ones. I absolute love it. Sorry for the blurry pic (I must invest in a good camera)

The Shopover

I spotted this piece in the May 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar (Photos by Anders Overgaard) and I absolutely love the concept. I can totally relate to having a drunken "Shopover". I swear killer shoes always give me a good buzz.
I’ve seen the trailer for this film (Bridesmaids in theaters May 13th 2011) and it looks like it could be pretty funny (I do love a good chick flick comedy). The line up for this film alone has confirmed some laughs for me; Reno 911’s Wendi McLendon-Covey, Get Him Greek’s Rose Byrne, SNL’s Maya Rudolph, SNL’s Kristen Wiig, The Office’s Ellie Kemper, and Gilmore Girls’ Melissa McCarthy.
Waking up from a drunken buying binge, the gals are rocking some pretty stylish outfits in this issue. As you enjoy these photos, be sure to peep their shoe game as well, no buzz kill here, thanks to fashion editor Amanda Ross.

Stepping out with Kurt Geiger

Just incase any of my followers wondered if I am truly following (I AM) I check most time lines on twitter and visit many of the blogs I currently follow. I am forever surfing, researching, learning, trying to stay in the know and getting inspired.
Okay with that being said this post is for one of my twitter followers @NicTay87  (http://glamgirlpr.wordpress.com/) whom simply tweeted, "I love @Kurt_Geiger *just saying*".  Well... Nicole Taylor this one's for you.
Kurt Geiger's Spring Summer 2011 collection of shoes are most defiantly something to fall in love with. He has several selections that are perfect for color blocking (the newest trend). Here are some of his fabulous creations. Enjoy!

Savage Beauty

The Met Gala (one of the most anticipated fashion events) pays tribute to one of fashion’s most influential designers, Alexander McQueen. The exhibit “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” pays homage to some of his past work. He was such a great designer, gone too soon. A major lost to the fashion industry. His successor Sarah Burton is doing a great job at filling in his void.
With that being said, plenty of fashion mavens came out for this historic occasion. Some were  a hit and some were a miss. Those who were a miss I just chose not to include their photo, because I'm sure somewhere down the road they will see plenty of photos of their bad fashion choices and ask them selves "What The Hell Was I Thinking!"

As I was saying... My top 3 for best dressed are,  Jennifer Lopez in Gucci, Madonna in Stella McCartney & Diane Kruger in Jason Wu, they all had that old Hollywood Glamour look and I just loved it. Especially J-Lo , I really can't think of anyone else who could have pulled off that Gucci dress like she did, the color was just stunning on her as well, the light really captured that gown.

White House Correspondents' Association Dinner (Best Dressed)

Okay, so I've been hella busy lately, and I have a lot of catching up to do concerning this blog. My take on the Royal Wedding will have to take a back seat (a later post, maybe) However; I just had to post something about America's Royal family (the Obamas') and their White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. Michelle looked beautiful as always in one of my favorite names in fashion, Halston, and the President himself looked very dapper. Now out of all of those who attended, my picks for best dressed would have to be Mila Kunis in Versace, I mean she owned this dress. She accessorized it perfectly; jewelry, hair, make-up & shoes were on point. She was just breath taking. Then there was Kerry Washington a Louis Vuitton kimono inspired navy blue & red number didn't care too much for the shoes, but still she was a vision. Finally Rosario Dawson looked lovely in red & my pick for best dressed male (besides President Obama) would have to Marlon Wayans. Well...here they are.
