Get A Good Shoe Shine

Continuing my September Shoe Shopping Line-Up, I've put together some selections of an up coming fall trend, "Shiny Shoes" rather they be sequined or glitter. Although I haven't join the bandwagon on this one yet, I do however like the Wild Pair Sinister shoes in this post (I might purchase these).

I can't help but see this trend going completely overboard in the wrong hands (or on the wrong foot). I'd like to know what you other fabulous fashionista's think about this. What do you consider to be a good shoe shine?

  1. There is a difference between being fashionable and being 'trendy' and God forbid a fashionista fall into that trap! I think if the shoes are made by a reputable designer and are 'flashy not trashy' then go for it! Everyone needs a little shimmer in their wardrobe at some point!

  2. They can easily become trashy but when worn right they can upgrade many evening outfits! I am loving the Stuart Weitzman booties as well as the Steve Madden wedges! x

  3. Hmmm...I think a good shoe shine would best be seen on a pair of pumps, strappy heels, or simple slingbacks for an evening affair. Those boots and wedges scare me big time because, as you stated, in the wrong hands (or feet) they could be disastrous! Yikes!

  4. I am definitely more of a shoe shine in stiletto form! While I do like the booties and think they look great in magazines, in person, they tend to be a bit overwhelming for me!

  8. Oh gosh this post is like shoe porn! haha But I am tending to agree with you when saying it could go terribly terribly wrong by some cheaper designers jumping on the 'trend' bandwagon and taking it a little overboard - or the wrong person pushing the shiny shoe envelope a little too much. I think a bit of sparkle on a classic pump would be my best style for this trend.
