When You Wish Upon A Star
It's finally here! Barney's Madison Avenue Flagship store is set to unveil a delightful collaboration with Disney, the highly anticipated Holiday campaign "Electric Holiday" today.
To kick off the Holiday campaign was something that is sure to bring out the kid in you, a giftcard scavenger hunt (how cool is that.) Then one of fashion's biggest icons Sarah Jessica Parker is set to reveal the film to the public at Barney's window unveiling, which is more than appropriate, seeing how she is also featured in the short animated film.
The film ceneters around Minnie Mouse's dream of being in a Paris fashion show. Other Disney characters who make an appearance is Minnie's beau the legendary Mickey Mouse him self, Minnie's bestie Daisy Duck, Goofy, the infamous Cruella de Vil, and the lovely Princess Tiana, and the Fairest of them all Snow White, in which all of them will be hitting the runway.
Minnie is dressed by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, make up by Pat McGrath and hair by Guido Palau, Mickey by Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga, Daisy by Dolce & Gabbana, Princess Tiana by Proenza Schouler, Goofy by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, Cruella by Rick Owens, and Snow White by Peter Copping for Nina Ricci while KCD’s Ed Filipowski oversees the production. But what is a high fashion runway show without it's front row of it list celebs, editors, and icons right? Well, don't worry, the creators thought of that too, so keep your eyes peeled for Daphne Guinness, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Franca Sozzani, Bryan Boy, Cathy Horyn, Carine Roitfeld, Suzy Menkes and other it list people and Disney characters through out the show.
Barney's will offer an exclusive, limited collection of holiday items at select Barney's stores and barneys.com, including collectible Vinylmation figures designed by Diane von Furstenberg and Paul Smith. They'll also have Mickey Mouse ears from Rag & Bone and L’Wren Scott, small gifts such as children’s toys for the season, ornaments, and edible sweets.

Release the Hounds
Everyone knows that houndstooth is one of falls classic staple patterns. Originated in Scotland in the 1800’s the pattern became very popular in the 1960’s.

Houndstooth is one of those patterns that lets you know that the holidays are not that far, you know; whenever you see that black and white houndstooth wool pea coat or tweed skirt at you favorite department store. You have every intention on purchasing it to ware at your office holiday party, or some other holiday event. It’s one of our favorite festive patterns, however; it can be worn year round in everyday getups in different colors and fabrics as well, but its classic and true nature is durning the fall and winter season.

Hunt Me Down

Speaking of moving fast, it seems like fall has come and gone (maybe that's because I live in Chicago and we only have summer and winter here.) It seems to be getting colder everyday. Though it's technically still fall, I can most defiantly wait for winter but I can't wait to purchase these Hunter for J. Mendel Fur Trim Boots that debut today. The boots only come in two colors, black and white, they both look great , but its just something about the white ones that have me in an awe.
Once again, sorry for my absence, once this election is over, hopefully things will be back to normal.
