HONOREES for Menswear Designer of the Year

Steven Cox and Daniel Silver for Duckie Brown

Steven Cox and Daniel Silver's forward-thinking style is only matched by their facility for reviving the fortunes of older houses (Florsheim, for whom they began designing a Florsheim by Duckie Brown collection in 2008, and Perry Ellis, for whom they were made design directors of Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown in 2011). Michael Bastian

Bastian, formerly the menswear director of Bergdorf Goodman, left the retail side of fashion to ply his own brand of menswear, one that is respectful of tradition but irresistibly drawn toward irreverence. Bastian won the Menswear Designer of the Year Award in 2011, after four straight nominations; this month, his capsule collection of polos debuted at Uniqlo. View latest collection here.

Thom Browne

Thom Browne's signature tailoring and wild sensibility—he's staged crucifixions, Amish barn raisings, and fox hunts to display his collections—earned him the CFDA's Menswear Designer of the Year trophy in 2006. More recently, he won the National Design Award from the Cooper-Hewitt last year.   View latest collection here.
